Life should be like a snow globe. Even if the world is upside down, it is still beautiful.

Long long time...

Ha..it has been such a long time since I last blogged. Anyway, a lot of things happened and I don't think I really have the time and space to write all of them down. Eh..I think one thing worth mentioning is Angklung got the GOLD award in the recent SYF. It has been 28 years of history and we have not gotten a gold before. I think this is indeed a great achievement! In addition, we were invited for the opening of Taman Warisan which occured a few days ago. It was a combined performance with NJC Malay dance. Although it was not a splendid performance, we still managed to perform for Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and he even took a photo with all of us. Anyway, this was the last performance and I will be stepping down from cca. Feeling rather sad...I guess what I will miss about angklung is our instructor, Mr Zuel, he is the best man! Haha..I think I will also miss all my friends in angklung. It is school holiday now and there's three more weeks to go before the common test, I guess I will really have to start working now...

Feeling terrible...

Just finished most of my papers and there is one more Physics 'S' left on Monday. Luckily, it is the repetition of some of the topics tested in the exam. Anyway, I fell sick during the exam and fortunately it only turned worse when most of the papers had ended. I am feeling so terrible now.. with the coughs, runny nose, sore throat and everything. Common test is almost coming to an end and now I am feeling sick.. can't even enjoy after so many days of mugging.. Anyway, this sickness is really making me lose my appetite cause all the food I ate tasted the same to me--- tasteless. This is really bad as I still have my last paper next Monday. I really don't know how I am going to continue revising in this state. Haiz..really hope I can recover soon..

Term break finally...

Been very busy with a lot of schoolwork and lecture tests recently. College life has always been as busy and there is always so much work to handle. Finally, the term break is here. However, it is only for a week and I have to spend the whole time preparing for the upcoming COMMON TEST. Haiz...so sad. I really don't know if I can finish revising in just one week. Anyway, today is NUS Open House and it was compulsory for all scholars to go, thus I went. First we had a talk in a Lecture Theatre in the Faculty of Engineering and later after tea break, it was a campus tour. The first destination was Prince George's Park where it was the hostel housing all the international students in NUS. It was an eye opening experience as we got visit some of the rooms and saw how life was like inside there. Basically, I think it is the best among all the Hall Of Residences. Hmmm...may consider going there. Then the exhibitions were held at the Sports and Recreation Centre. Well, I must say this Open House really attracted a whole lot of people and I really had difficulty squeezing through the crowd. However, I still managed to get a whole lot of info booklets which provided me information on some of the faculties I am interested in. Well, I guess NUS will be one choice I am going to consider for universities choices next year. In the afternoon, I also went to the UK Universities Exhibition held by the British Council in Suntec as I felt I should expose myself to more choices and opportunities. Truely, I managed to gather quite a lot of information about study in UK too. I really hope all this will come in useful in helping me to decide which course I should take in Uni next year...

Gong Gong's B-day

Haha..today is my ah gong's birthday...think he is 93 years old this year. Wah...isn't that very old? Anyway the whole family had a dinner at Great Straits Garden near Danga Bay today. Almost everyone was present except for Wei Zhe, Jason, Ah Chun who were all back for college. I must say the view there was really beautiful as it was by the sea. Furthermore, the dinner was delicious and sumptuous. The food ranges from yu sheng, longevity noodle, the usual stuff like leng pan, shark fin's soup, chicken, prawns, fish, mushroom and the highlight was the dessert which was orh ni (yam) and Jason.. I heard from your mum this is your favourite and this can be hardly found in restaurants. There you missed it again. It was damn nice I must say. Haha...maybe next time you will get the chance to taste it. After the dinner, I went with san gu gu to buy birthday cake for gong gong. We wanted a bigger one, which we could only find from Secret recipe. It was a Black Forest cake. Then, we proceeded to xiao shu shu's house where we celebrated gong gong's birthday and all of us sang a birthday song for him. Seeing the beam from his face, I could imagine how delighted he was. Then it was time to give out ang baos. All of us (grandchildren) got an ang bao each. As for Wei Zhe and Jason, don't worry.. you all have got one too...think it is with your mother. Haha...after that everyone stayed on to chat for some time before we left at 11...

Sumptuous Dinner...

Today is the second day of Chinese New Year and my whole family went to my ah ma's house dinner. For dinner, we had steamboat again; yeah steamboat, but it was a different one from yesterday. This time there was more food and they were delicious. After dinner we even had dessert which was longan. Thus, you can imagine how full I am. In addition, my father even went to buy fireworks and some crackers today. So, after dinner, I was playing with those sparkler and watching fireworks which were beautiful. It was indeed enjoyable and I must say I had a great time tonight. Haha tomorrow I am supposed to go to school but since my parents are lazy to fetch me to the custom early in the morning, I shall get an MC instead. I really hate to miss school (I had full attendance last year =) ) but this time I really had no choice. NJ should just declare tomorrow as a holiday and I doubt many people will turn up tomorrow too. My teachers were telling me some JCs are declaring a holiday tomorrow...y can't NJ do the same? Then I won't have to miss school... Haiz...I think I will wake up tomorrow feeling rather weird not turning up for school when I am supposed to. There is like a tinge of guilt in my heart now...haha. I really hope I will not miss out on a lot of things tomorrow especially with 2 'S' paper lessons... which can be rather traumatizing...

My Birthday...

Haha...this is my first time blogging here on a new labtop. I felt very happy yesterday because it was my birthday. Anyway, it just passed like an hour plus ago. I consider it a special day this year maybe because it is also Chinese New Year. Wow, such a coincidence man... That added on to my festive mood also. To everyone out there who wished me Happy Birthday, thanks a lot. I appreciated it... Actually my father bought a birthday cake 2 days ago and we celebrated yesterday. It was a chocolate cake...not bad la the taste. I love chocolates..hahaz.. Oh..i finally got this labtop on my birthday n that really brightened up my day coz i have always wanted one. Now, finally my wish has come true. By the way, I had steamboat just now at my uncle's house n spent almost half the day there. Furthermore, I had fun chatting and playing with all my cousins. I thought the highlight was the fireworks that was noisy but added on to the festive mood and made everyone happy. Alright, I shall stop here for the moment, till then...
